Unveiled 22nd January 1920 by Cllr. John Barker, Deputy Lord Mayor of Newcastle.

Memorial Description

Plaque, over 5 feet high. The names are incised and gilded. “On top is a globe signifying that Good Templary covers the whole world, and in addition there are two Union Jacks.

Solid English grown oak.

Notes

1. The meeting was held by the Light-of-the-Hill Lodge of the International Order of Good Templars held in the Derby Street Primitive Methodist Schools.

2. Over 700 members of the Order had fallen, including 81 from Northumberland.
