Notes

1. Inside were displayed a number of photographs of 2nd Lieut. John Youll, V.C. who fell in action in Italy Oct. 27th 1918. The location of these is not known.

2. This had originally been a colliery hostel and stables, c.1914

3. The plaque on the outside reads:

To commemorate the opening of
Youll House
by Mr. A.Todd MB BS April 28th 1984
for Age Concern Thornley.


4 The building was used by Age Concern, but they no longer use it.
