Present condition
Both tower and church were demolished in 1972 in order to build a new church on the site.
Notes
1. The building of the original Church and the tower was carried out by Mr. W.H. Jameson and his son Mr. W. Jameson, who also drew the design for the tower which was added later.
2. “Mr. J. Robson worked on the building of this tower”.
3. “A Mrs. Dodd, during a visit to the church, mentioned that her husband, Major T.R. Dodd, had been killed in the Boer War and his comrades in the 2nd Battalion of the Railway Pioneer Regiment had subscribed a sum of money to be used for a public memorial to their commanding officer. Mrs. Dodd requested that a clock tower be erected at the front of the church. Her wishes were granted by the Trustees and the tower complete with clock was built in 1905. This proved to be a popular landmark in the district”. Redfern & Robson
