Unveiled on 14th February 1950 by Lord Ravensworth dedicated by the Vicar of Whittingham Rev. G. Henderson.

Memorial Description

Plaque, 2 feet high x 3 feet wide (608 mm x 914 mm). There is an outer border of motifs, raised and gilded, on a painted light blue background. The words "Pro Patria" and "They will not be forgotten" are incised into the upper and lower border respectively, in gilded Roman capitals. The main panel is divided into three discreet horizontal panels, of differing sizes sunken in carving, which contain the (a) the dedication (b) the names from 1914-18 and (c) the names from 1939-45. The names are listed in three columns. All lettering is raised in carving and gilded on a plain wood background.
