Memorial Description

Plaque 25 inches wide by 36 inches high. There is a wide border of Greek key design culminating in red roundels in each corner. At top right and left are Union flags against a red speckled background. At centre top is a badge of Durham County.
The names of the fallen are in a framed section. Those who served are at the bottom. All names are in four columns divided by vertical lines.
The words “Roll of Honour” are in Roman capitals, the rest are all in sans serif capitals. The name “Tanfield Lea” is enamelled red, the rest are in black.

Notes

The plaque has been relocated from the doorway to inside the Community Centre and the two plaques from the Methodist Church have been placed on either side. (2020)
