Plaque unveiled 29th September 1923 by Col. W.C. Blackett, C.B.E. of Acom Close; dedicated by the Vicar, Rev. A.R. Hutton.

Memorial Description

Four Rolls of Honour of varying sizes, the largest reaching about to the ceiling of the entrance way. The woodwork is a “rococo masterpiece”. The names are covered in glass.
The fourth has double pillars at each side and a triangular top. The main panel bears the dedication “Dedicated to the Memory” at the top in Gothic lettering, followed by the rest of the dedication in serif capitals. The names are in four columns, the lettering hand gilded using plain capitals.
The words “Sacriston War Memorial Institute” are at the bottom, raised in carving on a carved ribbon and gilded.
