a. Unveiled 1st October 1922 at 10.45 a.m. by Capt. Arthur W. Lambert, M.C., Deputy Lord Mayor. Dedicated by Rev. Alfred A. Lee, Minister of the Church.

Memorial Description

Choir stalls, of which the two sets of pew ends 3 feet high face into the church.

Of the left hand set, the left pew end bears the dedication for 1914-18 and the names for 1939-45; at the other end are the names for 1914-18.

Of the right hand set, the left pew end carries the names from the St. James’ Mission for 1914-18, on the right is “Their name liveth for evermore”.

The lettering is carved in elaborate lettering and gilded using lower case letters.
