Memorial Description

Plaque set in marble frame, very plain, with the names in two columns in black Roman capitals. The heading is in elaborate upper and lower case letters.

Sicilian white marble on black marble.

Notes

1. The unveiling was to have been done by Lt. Col. J.R. Robb, but his father was ill.

2. The people of Mickley proposed at one time to erect a Nurses' Home and set up a fund. They bought a plot of land on Eastgate Bank but no further action was taken. Seymour asks "what happened to the deeds and the money raised?"

3. Col. Lockhart of Hexham presented photos of the memorial to various churches and institutions.
