Memorial Description

Plaque of white marble 84cm high x 74cm wide x set on a red marble pattress 95cm high x 87cm wide.
The main plaque has a shallow dome at the top, and the pattress has chamfered corners to reflect this.
At the top of the main plaque is a wreath with flowers on either side, all raised in half relief, and with the words “Pro Patria” inside the wreath. There is a square column on each side, with fluted design sunk at the bottom.
The centre panel is sunken and the names are incised in a single column. The dedication is carried on the bottom frame of the main plaque. Lettering is in a mixture of fonts, the dedication in Gothic, the names in sans serif capitals, the quotation in sans serif italics.
