Memorial Description

Plaque. It is surmounted by the badge of the Northumberland Fusiliers carved in half relief, with a crown on each side. The words “Roll of Honour” are raised and gilded. There are fluted pillars at each side.
In each of the four corners is a sunken roundel containing (top left) a Maltese Cross, raised and gilded, below the words “celer et audax” (“speed with audacity”); (top right) the eagle raised and gilded with the letters “R.A.F.” incised above; (bottom left and right) the dates “1914” and “1918”. Between these bottom dates on the frame are the club initials raised and gilded.

The centre panel contains the dedication. the names are in a single columns. Lettering is hand painted with some lettering shadowed, using a mix of sans serif and Roman capitals throughout, while the quotation is in cursive italics
