Memorial Description

Plaque 24 inches high x 48 inches (608mm x 1.03m) wide. There is a raised border of intertwined leaves. The names are listed in seven columns, the five to the left being under “Army” and the two on the right being under “Navy”. All lettering is in raised sans serif capitals.

Notes

1. St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church was closed in 1980 and the building has had several uses since. It is part of the Dhammakaya Meditation Centre in 2016.

2. The Grade 2 listed building was built in 1872 by shipbuilding magnate Andrew Leslie of the famous Hawthorn Leslie shipyard.
