Unveiled August 1921 by Col. E.P.A. Riddell, C.M.G, D.S.O., Commander, Northumberland Infantry Brigade.

Memorial Description

Plaque, 84 cm high x 76 cm wide. with a wide string edged border which features regimental badges viz: (top right) York and Lancaster Regiment; (top left) Green Howards; (middle left) East Yorkshire Regiment; (middle right) Canadian Infantry; (bottom left) Northumberland Fusiliers; (bottom right) Wiltshire Regiment. There are small floral bosses of Tudor roses regularly spaced between them. The whole border is carved in half relief.
At centre top is an incised cross on either side of which is the exhortation "Remember . . . from the war" in archaic capitals. The dedication and names are in Roman capitals.
