Memorial Description
Plaque approx. 2 feet 6 inches high by 18 inches wide, made of three vertical wooden panels. It is very plain, with a plain raised edge. The letters are painted in gold but outlined very finely in black, using Roman capitals throughout.

Notes
1. The chapel was stripped and made into an estate office during the restoration of the estate. It was reported that the chapel was to be dismantled and rebuilt nearer to the house as part of the business as a sporting centre, and that the memorials, currently in store, would be replaced at the restoration.
2. Following World War Two, it was recorded in the handing out of the Welcome Home Fund money that, of those who went to fight, 2 men were mentioned in despatches, 1 was awarded the MBE and one was killed.

Morpeth Herald 24/01/1947 reports details in Note 2 above; 19/1/2012 reports change of use of the chapel to become a communty hall.
