Memorial Description

Communion wine tray, of two layers, the top one pierced to receive individual wine glasses. The handle is raised on two silver stems. The inscription is on a small silver tablet, roughly shaped like a shield, which is attached to one side. The names are listed in two columns in Roman capitals.

Materials used

Oak with metal fittings.

Inscription

To the glory of God / and in grateful memory of / (names) / who died for us in / the Great War 1914-1918.

1. The church had a dwindling congregation, and latterly shared the Holy Trinity Church, but finally closed in September 2005
