Plaque on marble pattress, 10 inches high x 24 inches wide 254mm x 609mm). There are badges in the top left and right corners. The lettering is in Roman capitals.

Brass plate on marble base.

Inscription

To the memory of
C. Nicholas F. Browne
2nd Lieut. 1st Royal Dragoons
Dearly beloved son of
Captain C.E. Browne of Brunton, late 15th (The King's) Hussars
and Kathleen his wife, and grandson of Major Browne
of Doxford Hall. Killed in Flanders May 13th 1915, fighting
in the service of his country. Aged 20.
"A good life hath but a few days but a good name endureth for ever."
