Unveiled 17th April 1924 during the lunch hour by Alderman W.E. Pease.

Memorial Description

Plaque of bronze in granite surround 5 feet 5 inches high x 4 feet 6 inches wide (1.64m x 1.37m). There are laurel leaves raised in half relief along the top of the frame and part way down the two sides. At centre top of the main plaque are palm leaves and a ribbon. The names are listed in three columns, the lettering is in raised Roman capitals.
