Unveiled by F.W. Lambton Fenton House at evensong Sunday May 27th 1917 service conducted by the Vicar Rev J.G. Shotton.
Memorial Description
Plaque 12 inches high x 18 inches wide with decorated border incorporating the regimental badge at the top and oak leaves in red at intervals. Lettering is in Roman capitals, with some decoration, in black with some red initials.

Berwick Advertiser 01/06/1917 reports:- Besides the mural tablet which was erected by his relatives a handsome safe has been subscribed for by the parishioners in memory of Captain Deedes and placed in the vestry of the church an additional proof of the high esteem in which he was held by all classes in the neighbourhood.
