Unveiled 25th April 1922 by Mrs. A.J. Dawson, wife of Director of Education.

Memorial Description

Plaque 4 feet 4 inches high x 7 feet 3 inches long x 2 inches deep on oak pattress with dome at centre top bearing the enamelled school badge surrounded by a laurel wreath. The dedication is carried right across the top of the plaque.
The centre of the main part is divided into three panels. The central one bears the names of those who died listed in three columns with the regiments underneath each name. The two outer panels bear the names of those who served, in three columns on both panels. All lettering is in Roman capitals with some red initials.

Notes

1. A Committee was appointed by the school to raise funds for a memorial, which made £150. Miss Skelton was Chair. Mrs. Morris was treasurer, but died without seeing the memorial.

2. There are three names on this memorial for which no information has been found so far. These are:

Hunter, J.; Lawson, F.; Reed, G.
