Memorial Description

Panelling 3 feet high x 9 feet wide, curved to fit between the top of the wall and the ceiling of the chapel, and divided into six panels. The dedication along the top is in raised gilded Roman capitals, with the letter "V" being used instead of "U".. The names are listed in six columns in white Roman capitals.

Designed by Mr. W.D. Carse, architect, London; oak carving by Messrs. Bowman of Stamford; mason work by Mr. Oliver, Bedlington.

Notes

1. It was estimated that the costs of the proposals would be £1,000, which was the sum they wished to raise. But costs meant that this would be sufficient, and it was proposed to simplify the work, but even then the costs would be £1,100.
