Memorial Description

Plaque 3 feet 3 inches high x 2 feet 3 inches wide set on a sandstone pattress protected by a projecting sandstone lintel. The plaque has a wide raised edge. There is a cross is the top left hand corner. The names are listed in two columns, the lettering in raised elongated Roman capitals.

Notes

1. This was neglected for many years behind overgrowth. It was tidied up in 2000 and used for a ceremony on Remembrance Day.

2. The memorial was fully refurbished with a new
Yorkshire stone mount and overhanging plinth, the actual plate removed and acid bathed, and brought back to its former glory in 2014.
This was paid in full by Carlton Parish Council.
