Miss Gough acknowledges with thanks the receipt of £2 and twelve yards of flannel for the Red Cross Fund from Lady Milbank, Norton Manor, who also wrote to say that she had instructed the gardener to sell from the hall gardens, for the same object, produce not required.

At the recent open-air war meeting, Mr Plant, of Croft, addressed a large gathering on the causes and the calls of the war. Capt. Wilson and Capt. Milbank were also present. The latter, speaking of himself as a Barningham man, urged men to volunteer for service.
