Notes

1. Special services were held all to perpetuate the memory of the two men. There was a service in the afternoon, and in the evening the memorial was unveiled.

2. The newspaper report gives the name “Curmen”. This should be “Curwen”, though it is "Curwin" on the Statue memorial.
