1. “A memorial tablet to Mrs. Mole, wife of Mr. David Mole, and Mr. Wm. Pears, two of the most active of the United Methodist Church, Dipton, has been unveiled in that place of worship by the Rev. J.S. Clarke, superintendent of the Consett circuit. Mrs. Mole, who had been a life-long member, was 65 years old, and Mr. Pears, who was the eldest son of Mrs. Elizabeth Pears, was killed in France in May, 1918.”
