A plaque bears the dedication. Above the lettering is the D.L.I. badge in colour.

Notes

1. Mr. and Mrs. Edwards gave £1,000 in February 1919 for the endowment of a cot at the infirmary.

2. Mr. and Mrs. Edwards donated the memorial in St. Nicholas Church at Gosforth G9.06. Lieut. Edwards is also remembered Gosforth on G9.21 and at Stanley (Derwentside) on S135.07
