Memorial Description

Plaque 14 inches high x 24 inches wide, fixed to a polished hard wood pattress measuring 18 inches x 28 inches. There is a double line border. Lettering is in Roman capitals.

In grateful memory of the undernamed / who gave their lives for the liberties / of mankind in the Great War 1914-1918.

Names

Notes

1. St.Mary Magdalene Church closed in 1979 and is now a private dwelling.

2. The name “Pierson” appears to be a mis-spelling of “Peirson”.

3. Both Coatham Mundeville and Brafferton are just off the A167 south of Aycliffe on the way to Darlington.
