In Wytschaete Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 171538 Gunner C.W. Weidner, serving with the Royal Field Artillery who died 05/06/1917.

After he died, his parents gave their house over to the authorities to be used as a Hospital

He is also remembered in Newcastle on NUT159 which shows that his brother, R.J. Weidner, served with the Royal Army Medical Corps.
