In Seghill (Holy Trinity) Churchyard) is a family headstone which reads:

memories of
my dear mother
Margaret Buddle
Died 30th Setp.1967
Aged 78 years.
Also John George
Dearly loved husband
Of the above
Who fell in action
25th Oct. 1918, aged 32 years

He is remembered at Seaton Delaval on S7.03 and S7.10
