North Tyne Magazine, Vol.XXIX, no.314, June 1919, pages 5-6 reports:
“Thomas Forrest, the eldest son of Mr. Forrest, of Swinburne Wood Hall, was acting as Driver in the RASC and attached to the 29th Divisional Train. He had received his demobilisation papers, and was on the eve of returning home when he was accidently killed at Cologne, on March 20th last. He was buried in Sudfriedhof, Cologne, in a section of the cemetery specially assigned for the burial of British soldiers ... .”
