North Tyne Magazine, Vol.XXVIII, no.300, April 1918, page 5 carries this report on the death of Pte. Bullock and his brother:

Mr. and Mrs. W. Bullock, of Camp Hill, lost two of their three sons. “Pte. William Bullock, Cyclist, East Yorkshire Regt., joined the army in July, 1916, but his delicate health made it plain to those who knew him well that military service would be a strain to which his strength was quite unequal, and the anticipation proved only too well founded; after serving for a period of a year, the seeds of lung disease rapidly developed, and under this he gradually sank, and died in his own home on March 9th.

John Bullock, the youngest brother, enlisted in October, 1916, and joined the Coldstream Guards. He fell, on active service, on February 28th dying instantaneously from the explosion of an enemy shell.”
