On the Thiepval Memorial is the name of 19523 Private Thomas Johnson Adams, serving with 10th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 25/09/1916.

Thomas is the younger brother of James Adams, one of 9 children to Robert and Margaret Adams. He was born in Seaton Sluice, but by 1911 the family had moved to Netherton Colliery and Thomas was a miner like his father and older brother.

He is remembered in Nedderton on N52.01 and in Bedlington on B15.07 and B15.26 page 118
