Carole Fife has provided the following:
This is another case of different spellings. Thomas William Frazer was born in Amble in 1890, the second child and elder son of Walter and Esther (Nellie) Frazer. His father came from Scotland and his mother from Berwick and the family appear to have worked their way south through Northumberland in the late 1880s and were living in Choppington in 1891. By 1901 Walter, a miner, and his family were living at 18, Back Clayton Street, Bedlington Station, and by 1911 they were living at Swann's Yard, North Terrace, Bedlington Station, and Thomas was working down the pit as a shifter, with the family name written in the census as Fraser.
He is remembered at Bedlington as Fraser on B15.02 and as Frazer on B15.06
