In Caestre Communal Cemetery, Nord, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of M2/115796 Private George Young serving with M.T. Army Service Corps who died 07/08/1916.

Carole Fife has provided the following:

George Robert was born in Blyth in 1885 to George and Jane Ann Young. His father was a farmer at Lane Farm, Bedlington, and when he was old enough George also began working on the farm with his father. George enlisted in Hexham while living in Bedlington, and he is one of 11 WWI graves in a small CWGC plot in Caestre Cemetery.

He is remembered in Bedlington on B15.02, B15.09, B15.20 and in B15.26 page 77
