ROLL OF HONOUR
GLENTON.- Private Thomas Glenton, aged 33 years, reported missing since July 1st, now reported presumed dead on the 1st or since.- Deeply mourned by his father, the late Ellen Glenton, loving sisters, brothers, and brothers-in-law.

Thomas was born in Bedlington in 1885 to Thomas and Ellen Glenton and his father was a miner. The 1891 census states that Thomas's older brother Robert had been born in America. In 1891 the family were living at Bell's Place in Bedlington, and in 1911 they were at 47 Doctor Terrace, and Thomas was a hewer like his father. Early in 1913 he married Minnie Hayes and later that year they had a son Albert E.V.
Thomas was aged 31 when he died.
