In H.A.C. Cemetery, Ecoust-St. Mein is the Commonwealth War Grave of 300044 Private Davidson Ross Burns, serving with the Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment) who died 15/04/1917.

In Norham St. Cuthbert's Churchyard is a family headstone for Burns which reads:

Loving memory of
George Gray Burns
beloved son of
Davidson Ross, and
Deborah Burns, who was
drowned in the Tweed
on 8th July 1906,
aged 19 years.
Also Pte. Davidson Ross son of
the above who was killed
in action in France
on 15th April 1917,
aged 22 years.

Davidson Ross Burns, who died
19th Jany 1935, aged 80 years.
Also the above
Deborah Thompson Burns
who died 20th Decr. 1937,
aged 76 years.

who died 26th Decr. 1967
