In Shilbottle St. James's Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:
In
loving memory of
my dearly beloved wife
Jane Wilson
who departed this life
Nov. 11th 1941 aged 75 years.
Also of James John Wilson
beloved husband of the above
who died Oct. 18th 1949
aged 90 years.
Also of James John,
son of the above who was
killed in action in France
Sept. 16th 1916 aged 20 years.
