3rd October 1920, age 60.

David was born at Dundee, Scotland in 1860, the son of Charles and Mary Leslie of Dundee. He married Mary Adele Kyme at Farnham, Surrey in the third quarter of 1886. Mary was born in Bermuda, West Indies but was classed as British by parentage. According to the 1911 Census, David worked as a barman and they were living at 28 Commercial Buildings, Dunston, County Durham. However, the CWGC Grave Register gives their address as 52 Ethel Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.
