The Geordie at War Project states:
2nd Lieutenant Peacock was probably flying an FE2b two-seater aircraft when he was shot down with 2nd Lieutenant G.W.A. Kelty (they are buried near each other in the same cemetery).
Simon Glancey has submitted the following:
Second Lieut. Peacock was killed when his Bristol Fighter F2b C4753 collided with another 11 Squadron Bristol Fighter, A7153 on a reconnaissance mission. The four crew members of the two aircraft were all killed.
