In Longuenesse (St. Omer) Souvenir Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 235842 Lance Corporal Jackson Sweeting serving with the 9th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers who died 19/10/1917.

In Hart Churchyard is the family headstone for Jackson and Mary Jane Sweeting which reads:-

Also Jackson son of the above
who died in France Oct. 19th
1917 aged 34 years
Thy will be done
Syd Reed's information from the Northern Daily Mail says that Jackson Sweeting died of malaria.
