In the Book of Remembrance now in Thornley Methodist Church is a hand written note which reads:-
335701 Private John Edward Iveson, 6th Battalion Yorks and Lancs died 28/09/1918 aged 32 years at the battle of the Canal ou Nord buried in the British Cemetery Cagnicourt in France. Many thanks John, Marina.
Private Iveson's name has been added to the Book.
John Edward is remembered at Thornley on T54.02 and in T54.06
