On the Memorial at Soissons is the name of Rifleman Henry Sherwood, serving with the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own), who died 28/07/1918.

He was a member of the Hopetown Methodist Church. Our source is a paper written at the time when Methodist churches were closing and being incorporated into the North Road Wesleyan Methodist. The paper records the details on memorials which were in the demolished churches.
