The son of William Henry and Margaret Ibbotson of Stockton-on-Tees. A Pilot he died on the 14th March 1941 aged 21. He is buried in Ismailia War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt, Grave Reference 1.B.9.
Ismailia is situated on the west bank of the Suez Canal and was used throughout the whole of the First World War and between the wars for burials. The cemetery contains 291 burials of the Second World War.
