The son of Thomas and Dorothy Martin Dodds of Stockton-on-Tees he was born in 1922. He died on the 1st September 1943 aged 22. He is buried in Calgary (Burnsland) Cemetery, Alberta, Canada, Grave Reference 118.8.G. and his name appears on the 1939 - 1945 Book of Remembrance in Stockton Parish Church.
Editor’s note: During the war pilots were trained in Canada and he may well have been training to fly or was part of ground support. The cemetery contains 197 casualties, the majority of which were based at the RAF Service Flying Training School.
