In Stockton-on-Tees (Durham Road) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant R.H. Peckston, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 22/10/1917.

The son of Mr. John Peckston, a Draper and Gentleman’s Outfitter of Norton Road, Stockton-on-Tees he was born in 1894. He was Commissioned from the Inns of Court OTC on 10th June 1916. He died at home on the 22nd October 1917 and is buried in Durham Road Cemetery, Stockton-on-Tees, Grave Reference B3.A.34. His name appears on the War Memorial in Albert Park, Middlesbrough.
