The Illustrated Chronicle 17/01/1919 carries the following appeal:
Pte. W. Pembleton, No. 43107, C. Coy., 11 Platoon, 1/6th North Staffords, B.E.F., France, wounded and missing since Aug. 5th, 1918. Would any returned prisoner who can give information kindly communicate with his wife, Mrs. W. Pembleton, Front Street, Swalwell, near Newcastle-on-Tyne.
