Henry was born in Gateshead and later enlisted into the Army there.
He served for a time as No. 2136 Northern Cyclists Battalion then later transferred to Lancashire Fusiliers.
He was killed in action somewhere in France and Flanders on 6 September 1917.
Henry Brown is remembered at Low Fell on L61.05 and at Gateshead in G39.004
