In Bouzincourt Communal Cemetery Extension is the Commonwealth War Grave of 16/761 Private William Goddard, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 13/07/1916.

In Gateshead (Saltwell) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

William,
beloved husband of
Dorothy C. Goddard
who died 22nd February 1929
aged 71 years.

Dorothy Charlton
Goddard,
11th February 1939, aged 80 years.

William, only son of the above
Who laid down his life in France
13th July 1916, aged 23 years

John Hewitt, son-in-law
1st September 1956, aged 85 years.

Dorothy Charlton Hewitt
31st December 1979, aged 92 years.
