In Naval Trench Cemetery, Gavrelle, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/2547 Able Seaman Cecil Stanley Wilkinson serving with the Anson Battalion Royal Naval Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 15/07/1917.

Son of John William and Christina Wilkinson, of 2, Dodd Street, Bearpark, Co. Durham.

In Bearpark St Edmund's Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:-

Sacred
to the memory of
John William
Beloved husband of Christiana Wilkinson
died July 19th 1942 aged 72 years
Also of the above Christiana Wilkinson
died Jan. 10th 1944 aged 72 years
Also Cecil Stanley their beloved son
killed in action July 15th 1918 (sic) aged 21 years
