Memorial Description
Garden with pool. Plaque 11 inches high x 36 inches wide (276mm x 914mm) set into the ground. Lettering is of lead attached to the stone.

Pink granite.

This garden and pool
has been provided to commemorate those of the
Civil Defence Service and Special Constabulary
of the Whitley Bay Urban District
who gave their lives in the War 1939-1945.

Notes
1. The pool was rectangular with a fountain. This has now been filled in and made into a flowerbed.
