Memorial Description

Plaque, 1.04m (3 feet 5 inches) high x 1.14m (3 feet 9 inches) wide, with ornamental dome at centre top. This is filled with a profile portrait set within a laurel wreath with flowers and fruits carved on either side. A ribbon runs through with the words �Secondary School� incised. The main central plaque is rectangular with raised border. The names are listed in three columns, lettering incised using sans serif capitals. At centre bottom is a rectangular cartouche containing the dates.

Notes

1. This building was a private mansion on the outskirts of town. 1914-18 it was the Secondary School, became the Grammar School and is now the Sixth Form College.
