Memorial Description
Plaque 90cm high x 60cm wide. At the top is painted the arms of Tynemouth Borough minus its supporters of miner and fisherman, but retaining the motto "Messis ab actis" ("The harvest from the deep"). Beneath this is the dedication, in plain upper and lower case lettering. Below are the names hand painted in gilt in two columns using plain capitals throughout.

Possibly pine, painted brown.
